Guns and Ammo
FORT DISCOVERY, WA- Security Services NW (SSNW) has launched an unwanted gun and ammunition Campaign. Effective, March 15, 2012, citizens can contact SSNW and make arrangements for their guns and old ammo to be picked up at their residence via UPS/FEDEX at no charge. SSNW will use the weapons to educate youth in gun safety and the art of shooting. Guns that are damaged, old, or unsuable will be parted, destroyed, or refurbished to further educate firearm enthusiasts.
This campaign was established as one of many efforts to secure unwanted guns and ammo accross the United States. Over the years, SSNW has been contacted by citizens that have inherited or were passed down guns and have no interest in owning them. Many of these guns are left in unsecure homes with no security measures. This eventually leads to missing or stolen guns, which may be used in a crime or cause harm to a child if not secured properly.
How the Program Works
Citizens can email or call SSNW to have a prepaid box delivered to their home without any questions asked. For the retrieval of the firearm and ammo or other unwanted military paraphernalia, please email or mail SSNW with a photo and address. Once SSNW receives your address & photo SSNW will ship to you a gun case, lock, and a return box. SSNW will cover all the shipping and or delivery services costs. An instruction sheet of how to package the firearms will be included with appropriate paperwork.
