Advanced Police Training (back..)
The prerequisite for this course is to have successfully completed the Intermediate Police Training course. The advanced course is specifically designed to give the patrol officer advanced skills to enable them to successfully negotiate and survive a lethal force encounter.

- 20 hours
- Cost:
- Is based on a per-student rate with a minimum of ten students, and a maximum of twenty.
- Ammunition:
- 500 rounds primary weapon, 50 rounds backup weapon.
- Required Equipment:
- Patrol duty belt with three magazines, pistol, flashlight, ball cap, knee & elbow pads, body armor, eye and ear protection, Rifle, Shotgun, or Subgun as required.
- Course Overview:
- The course covers the following topics:
- Personal Defense Mindset;
- Survival Drills;
- Use of Cover;
- Unusual Shooting Positions;
- Shooting While Moving;
- Strong and Support Hand Shooting and Manipulation;
- Flashlight Techniques;
- Low Light Shooting.
