Bomb Awareness Training (back..)
This course is designed for patrol officers who want to learn or reinforce their basic firearm skills.

- SSNW Training Facility
- Duration:
- 10 hours
- Cost:
- Is based on a per-student rate with a minimum of ten students, and a maximum of twenty.
- Ammunition:
- 300 rounds primary weapon, 100 rounds backup weapon.
- Required Equipment:
- Patrol duty belt with three magazines, pistol, flashlight, ball cap, knee & elbow pads, body armor, eye and ear protection, Rifle, Shotgun, or Subgun as required.
- Course Overview:
- The course covers the following topics:
- Nomenclature, Disassembly/Assembly;
- Care and Cleaning;
- Home Safety and Storage;
- THe Modern Technique;
- Holster & Recovery (as required);
- Use of the Sling (as required);
- Administrative Loading & Unloading;
- Reloading Drills;
- Malfunctioning clears;
- Introduction to Timed Fire.
