Intermediate Police Training (back..)
This course is designed to help the patrol officer build upon the skills learned in the basic course and increase the officer's ability to survive a lethal force encounter.

- SSNW Training Facility
- Duration:
- 20 hours
- Cost:
- Is based on a per-student rate with a minimum of ten students, and a maximum of twenty.
- Ammunition:
- 500 rounds primary weapon, 50 rounds backup weapon.
- Required Equipment:
- Patrol duty belt with three magazines, pistol, flashlight, ball cap, knee & elbow pads, body armor, eye and ear protection, Rifle, Shotgun, or Subgun as required.
- Course Overview:
- The course covers the following topics:
- Physical and Psychological Aspects of Lethal Force Encounters;
- The Modern Technique;
- Use of the Sling (as required);
- Speed and Tactical Reloads;
- Malfunction Drills;
- Failure Drills;
- Single Target Engagements;
- Pivot Drills;
- Multiple Target Engagements;
- Transitioning to Backup Weapons.
