Patrol Rifle Operator Training (back..)

This course is designed for patrol officers who want to learn or reinforce their basic firearm skills.

Prerequisites:
The prospective student will be currently assigned as a law enforcement officer, security protection specialist, or on active duty in the military. The student's parent agency must provide certification of current employment on the registration form.
Cost:
Is based on a per student rate. Class size is limited to 24 officers to ensure range safety and quality of instruction. A minimum of 15 officers must enroll for the course to be offered.

Payment must be received 10 days prior to the start of the class. Payment may be made via credit card, check, or department purchase order. Contact 1-800-859-3463 for registration information.

If cancellation occurs within 5 working days of the start of the course a 100% refund, less a $25.00 processing fee, will be issued. If cancellation occurs 3 working days or less before the start of the course a 50% refund, less a $25.00 processing fee, will be issued. No-shows will not receive a refund.
 
 
Ammunition:
1,000 rounds rifle, 250 rounds pistol.
Required Equipment:
Training uniform, duty belt with flashlight, sidearm, three magazines or speed loaders, patrol rifle with three magazines and magazine holder. Eye and ear protection with a ball cap is required. Protective vest, gas mask, with carrier, knee & elbow pads, and clothing appropriate for inclement weather is highly recommended; training will be conducted regardless of weather conditions. Note taking material, a clipboard with a clear protective cover, 3x5 cards, pens an pencils are required.
Course Overview:
This is an operator's course that is designed to instruct the student in the safe, functional, and tactical operation of the Colt AR-16 family of rifles. The course will cover the nomenclature, operation, care & cleaning and tactical operation of the rifle. This course is designed specifically for the Patrol & SWAT officer, emphasizing tactical movement in single and multiple threat environments. The course of fire will include shooting on the move and threat engagements while wearing a gas mask.
