Regularly check alarm sensors to make sure they are clean of dirt, debris and bugs. This can lead to false alarm trips. Also double check that the sensors are still securely in place, as lose sensors that fall can also cause alarm trips. Make sure that they haven’t been damaged through wear and tear. (Perhaps you moved a piece of furniture and accidentally banged one of the sensors?) Finally, be aware that sensors do wear out over time.
If you have done these checks and continue to get false alarm trips, you sensors may be worn out and in need of replacement. Contact your alarm company to schedule a service call.
